The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £33,686 - £40,716 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
We are seeking an interactive Research Associate to undertake on-going projects developed in Dr. Tomita’s laboratory at the UCL Cancer Institute, University College London, UK. The postholder will be responsible to conduct provided research projects and will develop and refine experiments and strategies. The post also requires for the successful applicant to attend research seminars and other national/international meetings as required. The postholder will also work closely with our collaborators and supervise undergraduate (BSc and MSc) students.
The post is funded by European Research Council until the end of October 2017 in the first instance.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in life sciences, Biology/Medicine or equivalent. The postholder must have experience in molecular biology techniques, research in cell cycle, chromatin/chromosome or RNA biology. Publication of peer reviewed research article, clear and precise interpretation of results and reports are also essential.
Experience in next generation sequencing and protein (complex) purification is desirable.
