  • Bioinformatics

Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field mainly involving molecular biology and genetics, computer science, mathematics, and statistics.

  • Computational Biology

Computational biology, focused on the development and application of analytic and theoretical methods of data processing, mathematical modeling and computational simulation techniques, toward the study of biological systems, is rooted in life sciences as well as computer and information sciences and technologies, drawing from specific disciplines such as mathematics, physics, computer science and engineering, biology, and behavioral science.

  • Systems Biology

In Systems biology is the coordinated study of biological systems by investigating the components of cellular networks and their interactions,by applying experimental high-throughput and whole-genome techniques, and integrating computational methods with experimental efforts. The roles of signal processing and the closely related theories of communication, control and information will play constitutive functions as medicine evolves
